Generally speaking when getting a quote here in Calgary there are several variables by which proffessionals gauge the difficulty and accessability of a project.
If the site is fairly accessible and free from obstacles the quote would be substantially less than if the site was cluttered or very difficult to approach/Such as a messy bedroom or a 4 storey building shrouded by tall trees.
The next topic: Materials! Some of us have the luxury to afford the highest quality name brand paints, which can lead to some remarkable results, and smooth finishes. For these projects the final estimate or quote is going to be substantially higher than someone who is renovating a rental suite or an apartment.
Some companies in Calgary will quote using sq ft/ or other measures where we use laser measuring techniques that can quickly calculate the wall area sq ft. giving us the exact cost of each area to paint. We like to factor in all the above fluctuations when giving a quote so we can be precise with our customers who may have certain expectations.

What Is The Process?
When it comes to giving estimates We generally will arrange a time to come and will take anywhere between 10-30 minutes. Our method to giving you an accurate quote is listed below:
(a) We will discuss which areas or spaces are being painted. What areas which will be untouched and which type/quality of paint you will chose good/better/best. Matte/eggshell/gloss, etc.
(b) We do not require you to decide the colour or paint in that moment but will work with you to decide and can colour match any sample that you provide. we will provide you with colour wheels and advice upon request.
(c) We will then go about using our laser to procure an estimate for you.
(d) In a few days a detailed proposal will be sent via email.
(5) We will write up a contract and agree upon a start date
